  • Finding Balance: Making Mobiles

    June 5-9

How do you balance a feather and a rock? It’s easy if you know how to find the balance point! Learn to transform the simplest materials into magical, moving sculptures using simple hand tools and wire. You’ll have ample time to design and construct multiple hanging and standing mobiles that move in harmony with the air currents in a room. Go home with many mobiles and the skills to create your own handmade mobiles that dance weightlessly through space.

An $85 kit fee is payable to the instructor in class. All levels are welcome.

    Registration Opens January 2023

  • Hollow Form Jewelry: No Press, No Problem!

    Sept 27 - Oct 1

Join us on a journey into the magical world of small scale hollow forms, where objects look solid but are very lightweight! You’ll learn to construct beautiful beads, rings, and objects from copper and brass sheet using basic metalworking techniques. You’ll also learn how to add dimension to components with and without a hydraulic press. We’ll discuss order of operations for each project, how to add texture and patterns to your work and will create one of a kind silhouette dies from acrylic sheet. Focus on techniques, creative set-ups and making samples with plenty of time to practice and create. Learn tips and tricks in a supportive and encouraging environment.

A $125 fee is payable to the instructor in class. Basic metals and soldering skills required.
